No one across room will notice hair transplant
Now, for the surgical treatments. Hair transplants are the standard of care when it comes to treating hair loss. The best technique is one in which a strip of hair is removed from the back of the patient's head, assuming you have some to remove. This strip is then meticulously separated into hair units. The donor site is closed so as to be well hidden, not like the old days when patients' heads looked like they had been moth eaten. The grafts are then placed into tiny incisions, which replicate the natural direction and pattern of hair growth. As many as 2,500 or more grafts can be placed, resulting in significant, permanent hair growth. This procedure can be done with sedation or straight local anesthesia with minimal discomfort. The patient can wash his hair a day or two later, and by eight days have no evidence of having had the procedure.
Naturally, every physician has his/her own technique. Some hairs will shed, and within a few months the new hairs start to grow. There are many types of physicians who practice hair transplantation and there are many ''hair mills.'' Cheaper is not necessarily better. You should see several physicians, ask lots of questions, and make sure you see examples of their work.
